Jennifer Burns
Jennifer Burns has an eclectic background in both business and education. She served as a senior consultant for Hewlett-Packard, Kraft Foods, Jaguar Cars, and others, focused on gaining consumer insight and helping her clients translate consumer understanding into products, services, and communication that would serve and delight them. After feeling called to leave the family-unfriendly world of consulting to be home with her oldest son, Jennifer saw a need in the homeschooling community. She started an enrichment program called H.E.A.R.T. in 2004. During H.E.A.R.T.’s inaugural year, she heard the Lord’s call to start an academic program where He was the foundation of all. In 2006, she launched Classical Consortium Academy, a classical, Christian hybrid school. Jennifer feels honored to serve as head of school and adores being in the classroom, teaching formal logic, critical thinking, and classical rhetoric. H.E.A.R.T. and Classical Consortium Academy have supported hundreds of families and thousands of students over the past two decades. Most recently, Jennifer accepted the role of Director of Academics at Turning Point Academy, a division of Turning Point USA, to help restore virtuous education in our country. Jennifer is happily married to David Burns and the mother of three boys – Ryan, Bradley, and Nicholas and mother-in-law of Catherine. Her life’s purpose is found in Galatians 6:9-10. Jennifer holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
