Hypocrisy Is Back On The Rise
The mainstream media has been and continues to ramp up the fear about COVID-19, its variations, mask mandates, and the lockdowns. You’d think they’d be pretty serious about this, but time after time again, we see the hypocrisy that the powers at be display. We went through this last year, with leaders flip flopping on where they stand on issues surrounding the virus. One would assume they’ve learned their lesson since the internet is a powerful tool, but of course, they haven’t.
Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser was spotted maskless indoors less than 24 hours after her order reinstating the district’s indoor mask mandate. Even whilst denying this happened, photo evidence has proved otherwise. This behavior needs to be called out more and should not be acceptable. The “rules for thee and not for me” attitude being displayed is reprehensible.
This isn’t about Left vs. Right, this is about having a moral compass and true intentions. How can you say that you care so much about the lives of your constituents when you break the laws you put in place, displaying negligence about the spread of COVID? If this is such a serious virus that we should all be worried about, then at least show me that you’re worried about it too, you know? Don’t tell me to wear a mask, and then you take yours off. That’s not how this works.
We have to keep in mind that America is a free country, and while it’s free now, it doesn’t mean that it’ll always stay this way. We have to be more vocal about the things we wish to change in this world because we’ve all seen how quickly they can usher in lockdowns. Enough is enough.
