Congresswoman AOC Blames Crime Increase on Lack of Social Welfare Funding
Remember how the left has spent years calling for defunding and dismantling entire police departments?
Well, what do you know: defunding the police and passing dangerous bail reform policies that put criminals back on the streets increases crime.
But to anti-science/ anti-reality socialists like Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the increase in crime should be blamed on the lack of funding for leftist and liberal social welfare programs.
In an interview with The New Yorker, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said, “We don’t want to say some of the things that are obvious, like, ‘Gee, the child tax credit just ran out, on Dec. 31, and now people are stealing baby formula.’ We don’t want to have that discussion…”
Stealing baby formula?!
This reminds me of when they claimed the looters and rioters stealing Nike and Gucci clothes from storefronts were defended by leftist politicians as simply doing what they had to do to put food on the table.
