CNN Hosts Play Identity Politics with Jeopardy! Contestants

When it comes to the popular gameshow Jeopardy!, it is commonplace for contestants to not answer questions correctly, or to not know the answer at all. Spectators who watch such a spectacle witness the wits of these contestants being tested as they rally every brain cell to recall answers they’ve studied up on in efforts to compete effectively on the national stage. This fun test of wit is beloved by millions in a multi-decades-long tradition of people vying for intellectual supremacy.
Well naturally, the left, and of course the talking heads at CNN, found a way to be offended by such a gameshow, as once again they showcase that their shame knows no bounds. Their ire came as a result of contestants collectively remaining unresponsive to a question asked of them, which as stated earlier, is par for the course for such a show. However, when it comes to the lefts favorite “gameshow” of identity politics, certain answers are to never be questioned, and some questions are to always be answered, both correctly and concisely (according to the left of course).
The contestant’s unanswered question in question read, “She was the first black woman on the Supreme Court & the first justice to have been a federal public defender.” The fact the answer (Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson) was unknown to the contestants bewildered CNN hosts, who played this up as some sort of slight towards her and her accomplishments of being the first woman of color to be appointed to the Supreme Court.
Yes CNN, identity politics may be your shtick, but when it comes to every day America, we focus more on the content of ones character as opposed to the color of their skin, or even the sex to which they are beholden. Justice Jackson’s lackluster career is nothing noteworthy to be remembered in the first place, and her rise to her throne within the Supreme Court seemed forced and non-merited at best. It is completely understandable for normal Americans to not know of such a woman, including those on the television show Jeopardy!.
Once again, these leftists have drummed up controversy without cause just to virtue signal to their base. Although this is par for the course at this point, it’s still worth pointing out as often as it crops up to denounce the ridiculousness of such actions, and to heap shame on those who wish to be divisive. There are plenty of REAL issues that should be tackled, but this is not one of them. It’s time to get back to a more seriously-minded America that is not petty enough to play child games of such magnitude. Let us do better, for our country deserves as much.
