It often baffles my mind when I encounter those who are just so ensconced in their own way of thinking to even entertain different viewpoints, particularly those of the factual sort. The amount of cognitive dissidence one has to have to do the mental gymnastics required in order to not conform to the truth would be impressive to behold if it wasn’t for these very people tearing down and reshaping society for their own narcissistic benefit. Here I tell of my run-in with such a person and the conversation that followed, as well as my thoughts on him and people like him.
