John Catsimatidis Jr.

Advisory Council Member

John A. Catsimatidis, Jr. is a Principal at the Red Apple Group. Red Apple Group is a conglomerate that owns and operates assets in the energy, real estate, finance, insurance, and supermarket industries. In addition to his involvement in the operations of portfolio companies, John also leads the investment team which looks at both private and public opportunities.

 

He is a graduate of the New York University Stern School of Business, where he received a B.S. for his concentrations in finance and management. For his leadership at NYU, he was presented the President’s Service Award for distinguished service and contribution to the New York University Community.

 

John is involved in all of the philanthropic activities of the Catsimatidis Family Foundation, which supports organizations such as the Police Athletic League and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Advisory Council Member Jennifer Anju Grossman, a former Senior Vice President at Dole Food Company, became the CEO of the Atlas Society on March 1st, 2016.   Jennifer Grossman has spent decades helping people to live freer, healthier lives. She launched the Dole Nutrition Institute — a research and education organization — at the behest of Dole Chairman David H. Murdock. She continued this agenda as Health Editor of Laura Ingraham's new lifestyle site, LifeZette.   Previously Grossman served as Director of Education at the Cato Institute, and worked closely with the late philanthropist Theodore J. Forstmann to launch the Children's Scholarship Fund. A speechwriter for President George H. W.
