When you stop and think about it, what separates leaders from everyone else?
Is it something genetic that only certain people are fortunate enough to get?
NO.
This is a lie that so many young Americans are buying today.
Leadership isn’t inherently something that you’re born with.
If anything, leadership is an action or even a verb. It’s the action of doing something that separates you to take charge and “lead the pack.”
If you haven’t noticed, leadership is hard to come by these days. This proves that it is not common and cannot be found in a gene.
It’s hard to come by because NO ONE wants the weight of it.
It’s not easy to be a leader, BUT it’s what America NEEDS.
America needs people willing to NOT back down on their beliefs.
America needs people who will do the HARD THING, which isn’t always fun.
America needs people grounded by their principles and don’t sway when the “culture shifts.”
America needs folks that are willing to sacrifice their convenience for the sake of their ideals.
Being American means being a leader. Let’s start acting like it.
