February was an exciting month for Turning Point USA in the great city of Pittsburgh. Our message of free markets and limited government has been well received, despite the wave of socialism taking over college campuses. I’ve gotten to visit new schools to educate and empower students over these past few weeks, including Duquesne University and Chatham University.
The newly certified TPUSA chapter at the University of Pittsburgh is off to a great start. Over 175 students have shown an interest in getting involved, and that was only our first month of tabling. The chapter also held its first official meeting, and it was a huge success! Students are excited to become more active in the conservative movement.
Furthermore, I am organizing student activists across Pittsburgh to attend Turning Point’s Ohio Conference in April. Students are eager to experience everything TPUSA has to offer. The amounts of enthusiasm students have shown for capitalism and limited government has been truly inspirational. I am proud to be able to give these young activists an opportunity to connect with like-minded students, and I can’t wait to further grow Turning Point’s presence in Pittsburgh.
