Mr. Chart Westcott, Esq. is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Ikarian Capital, LLC a long/short equity biotech focused investment adviser. Mr. Westcott graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in History and from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he concentrated on corporate transactions and tax law. Mr. Westcott passed the Texas Bar and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. While in law school Mr. Westcott worked at his family office, Westcott LLC, as an analyst, and upon passing the bar, as general counsel and managing partner. Westcott LLC primarily focused on investments in real estate, tech venture capital, and public equities. Active politically, Mr. Westcott also ran for the Republican nomination for State Representative of House District 108 in Texas. He has previously received awards from the Dallas Country Republican Party and Dallas Young Republicans including, “Man of the Year”, and “Young Republican of the Year”. Mr. Westcott was also named by MAV-PAC as one of the Top 40 conservative under 40 to watch. Mr. Westcott currently serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas and as a Commissioner on the Texas Real Estate Commission. Previous affiliations include the Economic Policy Committee of the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce and service as Texas Chairman of the National Association to Protect Children. Mr. Westcott was also the founder and organizer of the JFK Day of Service, a Dallas-wide service initiative to honor President John F. Kennedy’s legacy on the 50th Anniversary of his assassination. JFK Day successfully partnered with over 20 organizations and 3,000 volunteers to perform over 12,000 hours of service in a single day. Mr. Westcott is an avid traveler and has visited over 100 countries.
